In today’s tech-savvy culture, the internet isn’t just a new means of communication or another form of entertainment: it has become the major source of news and information for much of the developed world. In 2006, as many as 113 million Americans went online to look for websites about health related issues alone1. Most importantly, 85% of them -- that’s nearly 96 million people -- used either Google or Yahoo! to make their search.2
These statistics tell a simple story: to compete for visitors in the global internet marketplace means to compete for high rankings from Google and Yahoo!.
